Gilles Marini
Although Gilles Marini earned international recognition as Dante, the Casa Nova living in the beach house next door to Kim Cattrall’s Samantha in the “Sex and the City”, his participation in “Dancing with the Stars” has gave his career a considerable boost.
After making appearances in “Ugly Betty”, “Nip/Tuck”, “Dirty, Sexy Money”, “Criminal Minds” and “Windfall” as well as several soap operas, print ads and television commercials, Gilles earned a part as a series regular, Luc Laurent in ABC's Brothers and Sisters.
Gilles has shown considerable acting talent during his appearance in Seasons 4 and 5 of Brothers and Sisters.
Gilles Marini Biography
Gilles was born in Grasse, France and from 8 years old worked as a baker in his father’s bakery.
After graduating from high school, Gilles joined the French army and was stationed in Paris, where he acted as a fireman for the famous Brigade des Sapeurs Pompiers de Paris.
It was in Paris where Gilles met Fred Goudon, a famous photographer who introduced Gilles to the world of modeling.
After fulfilling his military duties, Gilles decided to go to the United States to learn English while working as a model.

Hobbies
Gilles enjoys playing soccer as part of a neighborhood team; he also played at Wembley Stadium for Soccer Aid 2008, scoring an impressive goal. He also teaches martial arts to his son, Georges.
Gilles currently resides in California with his wife Carole, son Georges, and daughter Juliana.
